If you have had a heart attack, stroke or suffer from peripheral arterial disease and would like to take better control of your health, check to see if you are a candidate for a clinical trial.

The trial is to see if adding a new drug to your current statin can lower your lipid levels and improve your cardiovascular health. The trial drug will be injected every 6 months for 3 years or longer, depending on when the trial ends.

If enrolled in the study, you may receive:

• Trial Drug (some participants will receive the trial drug and others will receive a placebo. Neither the patient or the study staff will know until after the trial has ended)
• Lifestyle education to help improve your cardiovascular health
• Study support and monitoring by a healthcare team
• Possible compensation for time and travel
